Who says gardening has to end in the winter? Chili pepper plants are alive an well in the basement. As adult plants, they’ll hopefully bear ridiculous amounts of fruit early in the spring when they go back outdoors.

It got a bit cool last night. The tomatoes and peppers are acting like it’s no big deal, but you can tell they’re somewhat nervous.

Two (slightly chewed) ghost chili plants in the garden. Now if only they would bear fruit, we could all enjoy the hottest peppers known to humankind!

Green hot cherry pepper
I haven’t been able to let any of these turn red yet. I just can’t resist eating them. They have a spicy kick to them with more of a raw green pepper flavor. Taste great in scrambled eggs or for adding heat to a stir-fry.
